National Express Pricing Manager in Cincinnati, Ohio

Description

National Express Transit Corporation (NEXT), is a national passenger transportation provider in the United States with a strong commitment to provide outstanding customer service, positive employee relations, and the very highest level of safety.

We are currently seeking a Pricing Manager with operations experience to help move the company forward through our next phase of growth. This position reports to the Pricing Department Head, and will be responsible for providing financial analysis support services for business development efforts undertaken by NEXT and corporate cousin WeDriveU by preparing pricing models and submittals in response to bid requests and requests for proposals (RFPs) received from prospective or existing client organizations, generating bid summaries, and assisting in business analysis for Operations and other Corporate stakeholders.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing pricing recommendations and procurement-compliant cost forms for new and existing business, utilizing the NEXT’s pricing models

  • Preparing bid summaries and maintaining an ongoing history of bid results

  • Interacting with all areas of the organization including Operations, Finance, Maintenance, and Business Development

  • Participating in various projects, and providing information gathering, analysis, and findings/recommendations as needed

  • Preparing recommendations for annual rate changes based on analyses of operational cost increases including contract renewal/re-bid pricing analysis

  • Preparing financial analyses, developing financial recommendations, and conducting audits

  • Providing effective financial advice and recommendations to the head of Pricing and the SVP for Business Development

  • Participating in and/or leading special projects as needed

  • Ensuring continuous improvement and implementation of best practices within the department and across the organization

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements Include:

  • BS/BA in Finance or Business Administration desired; CPA or CMA preferred

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in finance, financial systems, and general business experience to provide financial and business analysis support

  • Experience in the financial analysis field including specific experience with modeling and reporting systems to develop business cost models and recommend pricing changes

  • The ability to manage participation in several projects at once, adhering to milestones and deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to utilize information to its maximum potential, and to generate innovative solutions

  • Well-developed analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and consensus-building skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated coordination and organizational skills

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Software (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
