This Road Supervisor will be out of our Lafayette, LA area . You will need to live in this area for this position.


  • Supervises day-to-dayactivities of operators to ensure compliance with operational requirements forsafe bus operations including compliance with corporate safety trainingprocesses and practices

  • Provides support, adviceand guidance to operators in responding to a variety of issues (e.g. customercomplaints, bus and/or worker safety, time-off requests), assessing situationsand determining appropriate course of action (e.g. additional training,counseling) to prevent further occurrences in the future

  • Ensures a positive workenvironment for operators by providing coaching, mentoring and non-safetyrelated training to promote high employee motivation and morale and commitmentto company values and excellence in customer service

  • Monitors on-timeperformance

  • Prepares and submitsrequired reports in a timely manner

  • Supervises compliancewith Company policies and/or processes by action and speech; discusses anybreech of policy and procedure noted with General Manager

  • Collects and auditsemployee DVIs

  • Evaluates theperformance of all direct-report personnel on a regular basis according tocompany policy

  • Administers appropriateemployee discipline as necessary


  • High School diploma or equivalent; some collegepreferred

  • 5 years of work experience required, with 3 years intransit industry preferred; college education can be substituted for up to2 years required work experience

  • Knowledge of the company, service promise, services,capabilities, policies, procedures and practices to effectively manageoperators in various locations, resolve issues in accordance with companygoals and objectives and promote the company as a leading bustransportation service provider

  • Proven supervisory expertise and knowledge of relatedmethods, practices and techniques

  • Computer literacy, preferably in word processing andspreadsheets

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, well developed writtenand verbal communication skills

  • Basic math skills

  • Relationship building and maintenance and collaborativeskills to provide high-level support and advice to local decision-makingcustomers, foster and maintain effective working relationships withinternal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively to developstrategies/solutions to satisfactorily resolve issues

  • Oral and written communication skills to communicateclearly regarding events and their resolution, provide direction, coachingand mentoring, create an environment that encourages and values input andfeedback from the driving workforce, promote the company as a leading edgeservice provider in Transit

  • Well-developed multi-tasking and time and prioritymanagement skills to balance conflicting demands related to customer careand routing
