Transit Operations Manager Trainee

You’ve earned your degree – now are you ready to make your mark? This is your opportunity to advance your career in Management, while gaining knowledge of the highly competitive Transportation industry. We are now looking for Manager Trainees in our California, Illinois, Iowa, Texas, and Wisconsin Customer Service Centers. Join our team at National Express, LLC!

Through this extensive training program you will learn how to lead a complex operation in an entrepreneurial environment. This 12-month Systematic training and development scheme to learn all aspects of business operations. We will give you the tools and support you need to succeed and make a real difference to our business. This scheme is designed to prepare you for a management role in your chosen field.

During the program you will be given the opportunity to experience every aspect of our business including operations, marketing, commercial, HR, engineering, network planning, digital development, safety, finance, revenue management, as well as a possible placement in our international business units. No two days are the same!

Key Responsibilities Include: Learning and participating in all activities within an operations environment including but not limited to management of P&L, safety, maintenance, employee relations, dispatch, staffing, customer relations and commercial development.

Qualifications

  • 4 year Degree in Business or relevant area

  • GPA – 3.0 or higher

  • College-based internships or past Employment or Work Experience while in college

  • Volunteer Experience or Extracurricular activities displaying leadership experience preferred

  • Willingness to travel to all National Express Transit locations during 12-month training program

  • Flexible working hours: early mornings and late nights

  • Willingness to relocate after the 12-month training program has concluded

  • Skills: problem solving, computer proficiency; communication; decision making; planning; organizing; prioritizing; creating and editing written reports; time management; attention to detail, confidentiality, professionalism, and customer service
