We are currently seeking a Proposal Specialist to work from our office in Cincinnati, OH.
Prepares proposals by determining concept, gathering and formatting information, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals.
Meets proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, approval, and transmittal.
Gathers proposal information by identifying sources of information, coordinating submissions and collections, and identifying and communicating risks associated with proposals.
Develops proposals by leveraging trends, services, and programs inherent in the public transportation industry.
Writes, revises, and edits drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials.
Obtains approvals by reviewing proposal with key providers and project managers.
Liaise with stakeholders across the organization to obtain required bid information while meeting RFP deadlines;
Edit final submissions for grammar and consistency with Company policies;
Participate in the development of formats, tools, and procedures to support the Company’s bid proposal process;
Liaise with stakeholders across the organization (e.g. Finance, Operations, etc.) to collaborate and/or clarify proposal boilerplate content;
Bachelors Degree in Marketing/related field or equivalent experience;
Experience with effective presentation/marketing methods and contract administration policies
Experience working in the transportation industry preferred
Strong working knowledge of information technology and relevant software/databases including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Outlook, Customer Relationship Management Systems, Photoshop, Adobe, Visio, UPS and Fed Ex Shipping Software, Web Browsers,
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
