The Social Media Coordnator
will be responsible for driving social media initiatives for National Express
Corporation brands through real-time interaction and social monitoring. The
successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the current social media
landscape and have a passion for content development and writing. The Socia Media Coordinator must be a self-starter and have a proven track record developing B2C
social media campaigns. Candidates for this position must possess a minimum of
1-2 years of experience working in social media for a brand or agency.
Engages online community and proactively respondsto brand related conversations.
Utilizes social listening tools to understandcurrent conversations about National Express brands and identifiesopportunities to amplify NEC’s voice on social channels.
Works cross-functionally with Communications andMarketing teams to develop social media campaigns and ideas.
Develops monthly social creative content brief andimplements with the assistance of internal team and agency partners.
Handles media inquiries and writing press releases.
Write and edit content for weekly messagingcampaigns.
Tracks, reports and evaluates website and socialmedia analytics and recommends improvements toincrease impact/reach.
Desired Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess 1-2 years ofexperience within a social media team for a brand or agency.
Experience managing consumer facing conversations,leveraging social media.
Familiarity with updating, navigating and utilizingeach of the major social channels including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn,Instagram. You Tube and Vimeo.
Understanding of best practices and emerging trendswithin the digital/social space.
Experience integrating social media efforts intobroader media and marketing strategies.
Experience developing content for social mediachannels.
A strong working knowledge of third party socialmedia tools (i.e. Tweetdeck).
The ability to handle multiple projects anddeadlines.
The ability to propose and initiate creativesolutions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, andExcel.
Excellent writing and grammar skills.
Bachelor’s degree required, preferablywith a concentration in advertising, marketing, or communications.
