Responsibilities:
Grow NECs charter business in a targeted area through direct sales to large target customers (event coordinators, sports arenas, etc.)
Work with the Charter Coordinators in the area to ensure successfully delivery of service and customer satisfaction
Builds and manages positive working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to collaborate on new charter business proposals and issue resolution
Identify and create a pool of potential sales opportunities and clients, collecting and analyzing competitive intelligence within specific communities
Manage the development of initiatives to enhance operational and revenue growth by exploring potential adjacent markets
Manage and lead the development of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for charters (e.g. Letters of Intent, Letters of Agreement, Contracts, etc.)
Properly quote, book and follow up on customer inquiries (internal and external)
Negotiate rates and terms of charter contracts
Market charter business to field account representatives (local/onsite sales rep, in essence)
Provide field support for lead generation and new business (sales and marketing tools)
Follow up on new business leads via multiple vehicles (websites, references, etc)
Track and report on all initiatives employed to grow the charter business (to senior leadership)
Prospect and match charter opportunities with vial field locations within the region
Provide onsite support for all large events (AT&T, Special Events, Globe Life Park, community events)
Serve as onsite liaison for events requiring ground crew
Supervises Charter Drivers
Ensures DOT Compliance for all drivers
Secures DOT Permits for trips requiring them
Fills in for the General Manager in his/her absence
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field
5-7 Years’ experience in sales and or charter work and customer service
Experience in negotiating contracts
Experience in developing a sales plan, developing a sales pipeline and achieving agreed upon sales quotas.
Must be able to analyze sales results and draw conclusions
Superb communication skills, both oral and written
Strong relationship building skills
Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, CRM Systems (preferably Salesforce.com)
Knowledge of transportation / travel industry
CDL with proper endorsements or ability to obtain
Ability to travel in current geographical area (20%)
