We are currently seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to work from our Wyandotte, MI site.
Highly agile and motivated Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to establish and implement the strategic and operational planning and reporting infrastructure needed for our internal reporting.
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting to executive team
Manage financial planning and forecasting, including analyzing business trends, identifying profit opportunities and key management metrics, and monitoring control mechanisms
Develop and maintain detailed financial models and analysis to support business planning and forecasting
Develop a thorough understanding of company and business unit objectives, both financial and strategic to deliver keen insight into Trinity’s current and future business lines.
Work closely with the Trinity CFO for the forecasting and budget development process.
Establish relevant KPIs for business and relevant key operational metrics.
Play a vital role in the strategic and annual financial plan across all channels and locations.
Provide financial and decision-support analytics to the Leadership Team to support key business initiatives and investment decisions.
Perform plan reviews and special analysis including review capital expenditures proposals relative to their conformity with corporate plans and economic justification.
Develop robust analytical tools and models
Financial model development and scenario planning
Daily interaction with employees at all levels across the organization to secure the necessary data (and ensure the necessary understanding of each area) to perform required analyses.
Complete profitability analysis with Sales team for customer performance reviews and scenario modeling.
Develop financial and operational models and performance metrics to benchmark Trinity against peer companies and the industry in which it operates.
Assist Leadership Team, and business and functional leaders on key strategic finance projects
Track corporate initiatives for progress and completion
Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics. MBA, CFA or CPA is a plus.
Strong financial background; exceptional analytical and modeling skills.
Fortune 500 publicly traded company experience strongly preferred.
Strategic thinking and problem solving skills
Strong financial modeling skills with experience building financial models
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to work closely with the Finance and Operations staffs while driving a results-oriented culture and an atmosphere of accountability
Highly organized and achievement-oriented
Self-starter with ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities
Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical skills and an ability to present findings to management in a clear and concise manner
Strong drive and initiative, with ability to work autonomously
Strong analytical skillset with the ability to translate data and analysis into actionable changes
Structure and process oriented
Demonstrated ability to effectively interface, influence and build alignment with individuals and cross-functional teams at multiple levels within a company
Working knowledge of planning, forecasting, and reporting systems; Oracle/JDE/ERP systems; and Hyperion/Business Intelligence systems
